I don't currently have a proper microphone, but I've been planning on getting one for a while - maybe this is a good excuse to spend some moolah. Is there any planned cutoff date, or just when all roles are filled? I think I'd be interested in giving the Noire Detective role a try, I love that archetype :)
There is no planned cutoff date, if you want you can record an audition for the Noir Detective with whatever shitty mic you have, and if you're good I'll reserve the role for you.
For a lot of the minor incidental characters I don't really care about audio quality, if anything fluctuating mic quality could be really funny, but for the Detective and his lengthy monologues I'm gonna want a decent mic

I have a comic strip to work on for a collab today, I'll maybe give it a go later on with my shitty mic. I should ask first, is the detective a 'straight man' type, or will they have comedic lines as well? I've watched the untouchables before, so I think I have a rough idea what you're looking for.
He has funny lines but they're all delivered deadpan.
