very obvious tweening on the arm movement, lip syncing is good though

edit: thanks for the gold kind stranger!
animation isn't the best, still made me laugh with how ridiculous it got at times (0:46) I would reccomend more exaggeration in the character's movement, in this movie they're mostly static with only the facial features moving, having the head shape morph along with the mouth would help with emphasizing.
oops I mean:
Oi mate, come aff a gaff a' this codger, silly cunt made me laugh me fookin' bollocks off, bloody 'ell I say!
cheers for the feedback lad, i'm right chuft ya enjoyed me film!
character design isn't memorable or original, although you did a good job showing different expressions, closeup was cool, sound design is great, animation is kind inconsistent. A lot of the movements feel stiff and inorganic (the arm slamming down on the button, for example) , but you did a good job giving momentum to the accessory features (hair and ears).
I guess the main reason I'm giving such a meh rating is that I don't really feel anything towards the story being told, maybe if I knew this character better I would feel bad for his situation. Still, story isn't everything, but the animation here is just alright.
Anyway, the way I would improve the animation is to add more anticipation, and more exaggeration, going back to the hand slamming the button, you could've had him form the fist slower, have the fist tremble with rage, have the fist slam downwards with a stronger sound effect, make the camera shake, maybe the force of him slamming downwards is so strong that it briefly launches the character upwards. Use a different camera angle to further exaggerate the size of the fist.
Exaggeration is one of the key elements of animation, it's the most distinct aspect that seperates it from other forms of media.
anyway don't let this comment discourage you, you have good ideas here, and I can see you know what you're doing when it comes to technical stuff like smear frames
sorry for how poorly formatted this is
tldr: git gud lol
That's the kind of feedback I appreciate the most. Thank you for such indepth analysis. Surely, I will take your advice into consideration. Regarding the 'stiffness' of the animation you mentioned, it is intentional and most likely I will stick to it :) Please remember that's, just experimental video, no big story behind that.
Thanks once again!
very well stylized, you blended different animation styles and somehow managed to pull it off. I also appreciate not tacking on a happy ending. Animation style is a bit too wacky in my opinion, there's nothing wrong with going off-model but I feel you're characters are hardly ever on-model!
So yeah, not perfect, but I'm giving 5 stars anyway for the uniqueness alone
funniest shit i ever saw
a masterfully crafted piece of pure holistic artistic integrity. The plot moved me to tears with its impactful social commentary. The grand orchestral score elevates the smooth, flowing animation to a level of near perfection. I can safely say that this is the single greatest experience in the entirety of human culture.
Animation is stiffer than I would like it to be at some parts, you shouldn't be afraid to go off model and exaggerate stuff, there should be more dynamic movement like the smear frame at 1:22
10/10 writing, 10/10 voices, 10/10 character design
I also appreciate the character's jaws moving when they talk, most people would leave that stationary and just move the lips
anyway yeah good stuff
your walk animation beginning is a little messed up, it looks like you have the background moving at a constant rate, which makes your character slide along the floor when he shouldn't be, which is a shame because the walk cycle itself is pretty good
that's about the only error I noticed, there is some obvious tweening around 1:56, but that's a pretty minor problem
overall great stuff
I laugh in the face of dnager!
Mwahhahaha!
